About Rich Muir
Wellbeing should not be complicated
Thank you for the opportunity to connect.
I’m honored to share my work with people from all walks of life—whether you’re navigating daily struggles or striving at the highest levels of success. My journey led me to create The Enlivened Mind, a name that reflects an ongoing practice of cultivating vitality and balance. Not a destination but a continued journey!
For years, I lived with chronic fatigue, high stress, and periods of depression. My nervous system was in a constant state of dysregulation, and I knew I wasn’t functioning anywhere near optimal health. This personal experience set me on a path of exploration- studying psychological science and integrating practices like meditation, breathwork, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques to restore balance and wellbeing.
Now, I help others do the same—offering practical tools to nurture well-being, regulate the nervous system, and support a life of resilience, presence, and growth.
If you’re ready to explore how these practices can support you, schedule a free consultation call today. Let’s find the best approach for your unique journey.

My History
A long journey to wellbeing
I live in the Currumbin Valley with my wife, we have three beautiful adult children and nearly empty nesters (who still teach me plenty), a cat, a dog, some chickens, and a few spirited horses.
My passions aside from helping people, are surfing, playing music, reading, and exploring the edges of consciousness – and I’m passionate about helping others find their own path to calm, clarity, and vitality.
Certified Vedic Meditation teacherIn my twenties, I was chasing success – managing a Mercedes-Benz dealership with my foot firmly on the accelerator.
In my thirties, I hit the wall. Burnout crept in as I tried to keep one foot on the gas and the other on the brake. That period opened the door to deeper questions – there had to be more to life than just pushing through.
Still in my thirties, I launched two companies and was introduced to meditation – a turning point that would quietly reshape everything.
In my forties, I stepped into teaching Vedic Meditation, began studying Psychological Science, trained in functional breathwork, and gradually shifted my focus toward nervous system health and sustainable wellbeing.
Now in my fifties – well, I’ve somehow arrived here with more softness, clarity, and presence than I ever imagined possible.
