The challenge
Having tried meditation once about a decade earlier, he was told to “stare at a black spot on the wall” – and not surprisingly, it didn’t work. The experience left him unconvinced and uninterested in trying again. When his wife suggested attending a weekend meditation course with Rich, he came along with no expectations and an open mind, but little idea of what to expect.
Discovery
From the very first session of the Vedic Meditation course, something shifted. For the first time, he experienced a glimpse of the inner world that meditation can open. What had once felt foreign and unreachable now felt natural and deeply grounding.
The Experience
Over the following weeks, he and his wife continued to meditate twice a day, every day. Each session deepened their sense of calm and connection, bringing a quiet steadiness into their daily lives. “Any time throughout the day,” he shared, “I think back to the morning’s meditation and it’s as if that moment reaches out to me, helping me feel grounded, calm, and centred.”

The Transformation
What began as curiosity has become a daily anchor. Meditation is now part of their rhythm as a couple and a vital part of his wellbeing. “I don’t feel I’ll ever turn away from it,” he said. “It’s a great feeling – thank you for providing such a powerful start to my new world of meditation.”
In Sean’s words
“What began as curiosity has become a daily anchor. I just thought I’d drop you a line to tell you about my experience with our weekend meditation course earlier this year l.
My wife took me along and I came with no preconceptions or ideas of where it was going to go.
I tried meditating once before about 10 years ago. I was told to stare at a black spot on the wall And that was all I was told to do. I therefore wasn’t surprised when it didn’t work for me and as a consequence I’ve stayed away from meditation ever since
On the other hand the very first time I meditated with you and my wife on our weekend session this year I had a vision of the inner world that I never suspected I could have.
And now for the last month and a half, my wife and I have meditated twice a day almost every day since.
And I must say, I don’t feel I will ever turn away from it.
Any time throughout any given day, I look back to the previous session that day and it’s as if that moment of meditation reaches out to me so that I feel grounded, calm and Centred.
It’s a great feeling. Thanks very much for providing such a great start to my new world of meditation.”
